Audio Essay featuring Todd Glass and Julius Jefferson
Host/Audio Engineer/Editor
This project was completed for a class about alternative media and diversity.
I chose the medium of podcasting to discuss my social issue, which was debunking the idea that comedy is too politically correct.
I call it an audio essay because I lay out my whole argument in one piece, rather than a recurring podcast.
My argument was that social media gives a voice to a lot of people, and many of those voices criticize comedy rightfully.
Widespread backlash at a comedian does not mean free speech is dying.
I interviewed professional comedian Todd Glass and my good friend Julius Jefferson who has started his own DIY comedy house.
