BIO
When I was first introduced to video production in high school, I realized that I enjoyed the reactions people had to the work I helped create. I found myself spending a great deal of time on the computer editing, often staying late after school because I wanted to be proud of the final product. I decided to take this passion and develop it further by pursuing a degree in video production. This degree has given me a variety of skills beyond video production including photography and HTML coding. Being in a degree program that allows me to test my creativity is very rewarding. I like taking part in all aspects of the video production in order to see each piece come together.
My degree also allows me to collaborate with others on certain projects. I have worked with many different types of people, and some of my best projects were improved by being open to others’ opinions throughout production and in critiques. This collaborative process exposes me to different styles that I may not think to explore, changing the way I think about certain aspects of my own work.
When I first began editing videos, I was driven by the reactions people had to the final product. Now, as my work matures, I tend to shift my focus to the process of completing a project. I want to ensure that the entire process is enjoyable and fun. I feel that when I enjoy creating art, those that view the art will also have a more enjoyable experience.
